What is the cause of neck or back pain that does not go away after physical therapy, chiropractic,   acupuncture or anti-inflammatory drugs?

          There are many possible causes of neck or back pain.  However, a very common cause is a herniated or a bulging disc.

 

Can you help relieve the pain due to herniatd or bulging discs?

          Yes.  Studies have shown that the neck or back pain caused by herniated or bulging disc can be due to leakage of its contents.  This causes inflammation within the spinal canal and irritates the nerves that go to the arms or legs causing neck or back pain, sciatica and muscle spasm.

          By doing an Epidural injection, the inflammation is neutralized and the back or neck pain is relieved.

 

Can you help relieve the neck or back pain from spinal stenosis or degenerated discs?

          Many patients have obtained good relief after epidural injections.

 

Can you help relieve the severe pain from shingles or post-herpetic neuralgia?

      Yes.  The earlier the epidural is done, the higher the chance of success.  If not treated early, people who are over 65  years 0ld have a higher tendency to develop severe prolonged pain for many years.
